A cross-border Climate Action Conference was held on October 19th at the Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine conference room at Mellows Campus, Athenry Co. Galway. The theme was ‘From the Ground Up | Cultivating Innovation and Growth’ with the four subthemes of:

1. AgriFood,
2. Agritourism,
3. Sustainable Energy,
4. Health & Well-being.

With 90 cross border attendee registrations, the event was officially opened by Mr. Peter Feeney – Chair of BIA Innovator Campus and Cathaoirleach Liam Carroll Galway County Council.

Climate action in the Argifood and Agritech was a key learning theme for our Shared Island exchanges and for our future plans.
